Sometimes Tumblr can be really extremely irritating. It does make me wonder why I keep up with it, but oh well, it is worth it (sometimes, and the other times I'm just too nice to get pissed at people or block them even though they annoy me. Oh well...)

In other news, wooo, gonna watch the Hobbit tonight for the first time ever (yes I haven't seen it yet xD).

Can't wait. :D

I have to admit, I often find it difficult to handle Tumblr at times... it feels less open for discussion and somehow shoutier than a journal?

It is! I do enjoy Tumblr, especially when it comes to being able to search for pretty pictures of my interests...

But then it's like, if you have a friend/s who keep reblogging things you find obnoxious and/or dislike, but it's socially unacceptable to not follow them and angflkdj all sorts of drama. I'm pretty good at ignoring what I don't like, just nngh. You know?

Tumblr Saviour can help with that, but not all the time, if you haven't got it yet.

Mainly my issue is that I feel like I'm just looking at this endless black hole where people are just shouting their opinions into a hungry void. You're expected to respond with a stunning amount of, well, feels, not always particularly thought out or substantiated - and while I do have a lot of opinions, some of them very strong, it's just... *winces.

It doesn't seem to work for Firefox, or at the very least, I haven't managed to get it to work, but I'd heard of it before.

Myself, I tend to stick to reblogging, since I'm not the most coherent or expressive person when it comes to expressing my feelings about something, you know? I don't like using tags to much and kinda go the keysmash route most of the time. Which of course, is probably not the point of tumblr but oh well.

For the sake of being like, social and all, which I really ought to do. What's your tumblr? :D

Oh, I see. I don't use Firefox much anymore, just Chrome, so I didn't know that.

I mostly reblog - if you feel up to dealing with enormous amounts of books, quotes, the occasional movie reblog, animals, Ace Attorney, and FFIV/FFVI/FFIX - with some Persona thrown in - I'm glacialphoenix on Tumblr, too. :)

I have played all the games (minus the newest one, the one were you play as Edgeworth, I believe) and really enjoy the series, so no worries! :D

Don't get me wrong, I like Tumblr for what it is. A really really pretty place to find things, I love the picture spams and all that -but- I think that the place is so bogged down in the shinies that it pretty much cross cancels the need for any type of communication and interaction. I love just talking to people, you know.. and responding to what they have to say. I can only respond so much to a picture but a person's thoughts and ideas, now that's something!

So I go to Tumblr and I lurk, but I save all of my opinions, ideas, thoughts and feelings for something that requires a bit more words.

It does! It's kinda sad how DW (and well, LJ as well, though that site had already been dying for another slew of reasons) has been mostly replaced by Tumblr. It's like, EVERYTHING is there, and talking to people/actually communicating is so difficult.

Even just doing asks is difficult that with the character limit and how they disappear from one's inbox about being replied to. -_-

And yeah, I think that sites like that have risen because there's more of a stress on 'now now now' then n waiting for someone to reply. I mean I don't really trust a site that has no real way of allowing me to scroll back. You have to pretty much live at Tumblr 24/7 or know the -exact- keywords to be able to get the entire expirience.

Which makes it difficult for things like RP or other things which I hear is pretty popular on Tumblr. -_-

I have patience but not that type of patience.

But the pictures, and gifs.. they be totally awesome!

Yeah, I've tentatively tried to RP over tumblr but it's so fleeting. And the more established games have it bad with cliques (at least the one I tried to play at). Then again, that might be because in general, the populace of tumblr tends to be younger then that of DW and LJ before.

I'm kinda sick of tumblr since me and my girlfriend just caught a nasty bout of drama through it, tbh. -_- Hence not going to be so active for a bit.

Oh goodness, I'm sorry about the Tumblr Drama...

The last drama I had was actually on LJ and it was like, oh goodness.. five years ago. After that I sort of went "if it has online drama.. then I do not want'.

It's not that hard to just all get along honestly, I wish more people would follow that instead of jumping and attacking at first opportunity.
